Waterways at Shaoxing

Shaoxing is a prefecture and a city located in northeastern Zhejiang district on the south bank of the Qiantang River.

Once the site was the capital of the Spring and Autumn Period Kingdom of Yue.

The area is known as the “Land of Fish and Rice” because it is characterized by its canals and waterways.

A beautiful tourist scenic area is East Lake, just out of the town of Shaoxing.
